Monthly Mining Summary – March 2022

Bitcoins mined in March 2022

BTC mined in March 2022: 0.311 BTC (vs 0.268 BTC in February)

BTC value when mined: $13,171

BTC value now (April 8th 2022): $13,308

March was one of the best months for miners. Not only the mining difficulty decreased twice in a row, but also the price of Bitcoin showed some promising runs. BTC was $44k on March 1st, but dropped all the way to $38k on March 13th. After that it had a monstrous run to over $47k on March 29th. Unfortunately in the last few days, it dropped down again to $44k.

In any case, this is the first month that I am writing this summary and the value of BTC mined is now higher then value at the time of mining.

My Bitcoins mined life time since November 2021

BTC mined: 1.18 BTC

BTC value when mined: $51,196

BTC value now (March 15th 2022): $50,446

Wohoo, I am a full Bitcoiner now, mined over 1 full BTC since started in November. It is a good feeling to be honest, although it does not really mean anything.

If I wrote this summary few days ago, when BTC was $46k on April 2nd, I could have said that finally my total BTC value is higher now, than at the time of mining. Unfortunately, the drop in price in the last few days means I am going to have to wait a little more to say that.

After 2 difficulty declines in March, we had a large 4% increase on March 30. That will definitely have impact on mining performance in April. Fortunately it looks like the next adjustment will be a decline again, but it is too early to be sure.

March 2022 Mining and Crypto.com posts

I tried to be more active in March, and produce more content for the blog. Thanks to starting with Crypto.com, I accomplished that.
